Evolution
A new body of work currently in development, Evolution explores transformation, movement, and the spaces between presence and becoming. Through a series of large-scale photographic works, the project investigates the abstraction of the human form and the shifting relationship between image, perception, and experience.
Emerging from an ongoing exploration of contemporary photographic practice, Evolution invites viewers to consider what is revealed—and what remains hidden—in moments of transition. The work continues Karen Mayo's interest in photography as an experience rather than a document, creating visual encounters that unfold through observation, reflection, and imagination.
